
British tenor Samuel Boden enjoys an international opera and concert career, with particular success in the fields of early and contemporary music.
He is an interpreter of Monteverdi, Bach, Haendel, of French baroque as well as Britten. Samuel Boden sings the haute-contre parts in the works of Rameau and Charpentier, and he regularly appears alongside ensembles playing period instruments.
Some of the more recent highlights in his career include his role of Boy and Young King in Lessons in Love and Violence by George Benjamin at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden followed by performances at the Dutch National Opera, the Opéra national de Lyon, at the Grand Théâtre du Liceu in Barcelona. His growing discography includes Romeo andJuliette by Berlioz (BBC Symphony Orchestra, Sir Andrew Davis) as well as discs dedicated to Monteverdi, Charpentier, Daniel Purcell, Rameau, Bach, Blow, and also Tansy Davies, Alec Roth and George Benjamin.
His plans include his début at the Staatsoper in Berlin as well as engagements with the Vienna Academy, Orchester Wiener Akademie and Arcangelo ensemble.
