Rückert-Lieder, five Lieder on poems by Friedrich Rückert

Symphony No. 4 in G major

The music

Christiane Karg studied singing at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the International Opera Studio in Hamburg before joining the Frankfurt Opera Ensemble. A remarkable recitalist and concert performer, she was awarded the prestigious "Brahms Prize" in 2018. Mahler reveals himself entirely through two contemporary works: from the green paradise of a dreamy childhood in his Fourth Symphony to the introversion and solitude of the creator so well expressed in his sublime Rückert-Lieder.
