Concerts for little ears

Musical activities for children aged 4 and over and their parents
To introduce young children to the joys of music, the musicians of the OSR offer special 30-minute concerts performed by small ensembles, accompanied by a story told by an actor or actress. The experience is rounded off with complimentary refreshments and a chance to try out instruments with the performers.
Concerts for Little Ears 2026–2027
Four stories with happy endings
A must-read children’s book for nearly 40 years, Le voyage de Plume takes us on a journey of discovery to the far corners of the world, guided by solidarity and tolerance.
The adventure of Pilou the Plantigrade, as tender as it is whimsical, takes us on a journey through funny scares, village misunderstandings and moments of pure poetry, helping us discover the world with fresh ears… and plenty of fur.
The unmissable Peter and the Wolf still sends shivers down our spines in the woods and leaves us cheering at the end because, of course, (scoop!) all’s well that ends well!
Sans les mains offers us a musical journey through the acoustic instruments of the OSR musicians and a few ‘trendy’ guitars. A delightful wealth of sounds and other fantasies for young ears.
Seating is limited and no tickets are available for sale at the concert venue. An educational pack is sent by email a few days before the concerts.

Age recommendation
Why from the age of 4?
A concert is a moment of discovery where one watches a work of art being performed live on stage. It requires particular attention, centred on listening. Our concerts are designed to help people of all ages discover the magic of live music, from chamber ensembles to symphony orchestras. Our experience leads us to programme our concerts for a range of age groups, which are always indicated on our promotional materials. The age group recommendation is determined by the concert’s duration, the venue, the atmosphere and the musical programme. This recommendation is therefore intended to ensure an enjoyable experience for every member of the audience.
Lasting 30 minutes, the ‘Concerts for Little Ears’ require a certain amount of attention to follow the story being told on stage. Children sit on the floor on mats, with or without their parents, but do not move around. The venue is small (averaging 120 to 150 seats) and darkened for the duration of the performance. They are introduced to between 4 and 7 instruments, which they can try out after the concert.
