Nicola Alaimo's early career was marked by some roles in important productions, such as Conte di Luna (Trovatore) in Ravenna, Procolo (Le convenienze e inconvenienze teatrali) in Bergamo; Pharaoh (Moise e Pharaon) at La Scala; Sharpless (Madama Butterfly) at Torre del Lago or Don Pasquale (title role) in a Ravenna Festival production touring Cologne, Paris and Liège under the direction of Riccardo Muti.
Particularly noteworthy is his collaboration with the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, where he has become a leading artist over the years, enjoying considerable success in La Cenerentola, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Guillaume Tell and many other titles. Recently, he has been engaged on the most important opera stages such as the Opéra National de Paris, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Covent Garden in London and La Scala in Milan. Nicola Alaimo is the winner of the prestigious Abbiati Prize 2016.
