Juliana Grigoryan

Armenian soprano Juliana Grigoryan is among the most promising talents of her generation. 

Winner of the First Prize and Audience Prize at the Operalia Competition in 2022, she has graced prestigious stages such as Teatro alla Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, Dutch National Opera, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro Massimo di Palermo and Arena di Verona.

In Yerevan, her hometown, in October 2024 she shared the stage of the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall with Plácido Domingo during a wonderful concert with an extraordinary public success.

Juliana holds a degree from Yerevan State Conservatory. She was a member of Young Artist Opera Programme in Yerevan. Juliana was named the grand prize winner at the International Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal Competition, where she also received the Marcella Sembrich-Kochańska and the Katowice City of Gardens – Krystyna Bochenek Cultural Institution Prize.

In 2024, she was awarded the prestigious Hilde Behrens Prize, in celebration of the 87th anniversary of Behrens’ birthday and she was honored to become a stage partner of Andrea Bocelli during his European concert tour

Her future commitments include, among others, Musetta in La bohème in Parma, Mimì in La bohème in Bologna, at the Metropolitan Opera, at Liceu Barcelona and at Munich Staatsoper; Liù in Turandot at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, at The Metropolitan Opera and in Seoul; L’elisir d’amore in Hamburg; I Capuleti e Montecchi in Berlin, The Tzar bride in Berlin, her debut as Violetta in La Traviata at the Royal Opera House Muscat.
