Russian tenor Dmitry Korchak is one of the most sought-after voices of his generation. Since winning the Francisco Viñas International Singing Competition in Barcelona in 2004 and receiving two prizes at Plácido Domingo’s Operalia Competition in Los Angeles, Dmitry quickly established himself on the international scene with regular appearances at the world’s most renowned opera houses and concert halls.
He regularly performs in renowned opera houses such as the Vienna Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala, Royal Opera House in London, Metropolitan Opera in New York, Los Angeles Opera, Opernhaus Zürich, Teatro Real in Madrid, Opéra national de Paris, La Monnaie in Brussels, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Bayerische Staatsoper, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Opéra national de Lyon, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, and Salzburger Festspiele. Since 2008, he has been a regular guest artist at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro.
In the 2024-25 season, Dmitry Korchak will play Alfredo Germont in La Traviata at the Opéra Royal de Liège Wallonie, Pollione in Norma at the Teatro Verdi in Salerno, and the title role in Werther at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. He will also return to the Wiener Staatsoper and Opéra National de Paris as Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto, and as Lenskiy in Evgeniy Onegin at Milan's Teatro alla Scala. He will return to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin for Norma. He will take to the stage for Requiem KV 626 at the Chorégies d'Orange. He will be at the Rossini Opera Festival for L'italienne en Algérie.
Since 2006, Korchak has been a frequent guest at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro. In addition to his renowned singing career, he is also a conductor. From 2017 to 2020, he served as the principal guest conductor of the Novosibirsk Opera, leading the inaugural concert of the new concert hall with Rossini's Stabat Mater. He has appeared on numerous audio and video recordings.
