Born in the canton of Fribourg, Antoine Pittet began playing the cornet with his father at the age of 7. He soon joined the local brass band and continued his musical training at Fribourg Conservatoire with Laurent Carrel and then Jean-François Michel.

He began his studies at the Haute École de Musique in Fribourg in Jean-François Michel's class, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in 2018, before heading to Germany to study with Jeroen Berwaerts at the Hochschule für Musik, Tanz & Medien in Hanover, where he received the highest distinction in his Master's recital in 2023.

Throughout many travels, Antoine Pittet has met inspiring trumpeters and musicians, honing his playing with renowned figures such as Reinhold Friedrich, Hannes Läubin, Gábor Tarkövi, Martin Angerer, Håkan Hardenberger, Thomas Rolf, Andre Schoch, Luis González, Guy Touvron, Laura Vukobratovic, Ralph Alessi, and many others.

His classical career began in 2017 with the Sinfonietta de Lausanne, first as a trainee, then as a full member. He also performs regularly with other orchestras such as the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, the Bremer Philharmoniker and the Swiss National Orchestra. Antoine Pittet also has the opportunity to play with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, under internationally renowned conductors such as Klaus Mäkelä, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Andrew Manze or Manfred Honeck and in major concert halls such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Suntory Hall in Tokyo and the Salle Communale in Longeville-lès-Metz.

In 2022, he was appointed principal trumpet with the Orchestre National de Metz, before joining the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in 2025.

As a versatile musician, he also enjoys performing as a soloist, in duos and chamber ensembles, as well as in various jazz and electro projects, notably with the group Bête Salée.
