The music

For the tenth time, the OSR is taking part in the Orchestre en classe project, a collaboration between the Département de l'Instruction Publique (DIP), the Conservatoire Populaire de Musique Danse et Théâtre (CPMDT) and the Accademia d'Archi.

The aim of the Orchestre en classe project is to enable pupils from certain state schools in the Canton of Geneva to take a weekly orchestral instrumental lesson during school time over a two-year period, given by an instrument teacher from the schools concerned in collaboration with the music teacher and the class teacher.

The OSR's Education Department and the various partners in L'Orchestre en classe are pursuing the same objective: to offer young pupils the chance to discover the world of the orchestra and its instruments, in order to share with them the common passion that drives us all: music.
