RUSSIAN MAGIC

Treat yourself to a musical appetizer at lunchtime with a concert presented by conductor Jukka-Pekka Saraste. This one-hour concert, with no intermission, will whet your appetite one last time to end the season on a high note. On the menu today is Igor Stravinsky, a close associate of the OSR and Ernest Ansermet, its founder.

Stravinsky had offered our orchestra an orchestral suite from his Firebird, but it is indeed the complete ballet in the opulent 1910 original version that we will hear during this concert.
