The music

The Orchestre de la Suisse Romande celebrates 102 years with this gala concert given in 1998 for it's 80th birthday. This concert, recorded at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, takes the programme of the orchestras' very first concert on 30th November 1918, under the direction of its founder, Ernest Ansermet.
