For the 50th anniversary of the Fondation Clair Bois, on 5 November the OSR will give a film concert featuring one of the greatest silent suspense films ever made, Alfred Hitchcock's The Lodger, a story of the London Fog. Under the baton of Philippe Béran, the orchestra will perform the music live during the screening of the film, which the English director wrote at the age of just 28 and in which we can already see all the genius of his long filmography. Indeed, The Lodger marks the birth of the ‘master of suspense’, laying the foundations for his extremely diverse and rich cinematic language, in which images and music convey the crime without words.
Every year, the Fondation Clair Bois's action committee organises a charity event to raise funds for a project supported by the foundation. The film and concert evening is being held as part of the foundation's 50th anniversary celebrations. The project being supported involves landscaping the outdoor areas of the Clair Bois Pinchat site with a focus on revegetation to promote biodiversity and provide shade and coolness for those receiving care. Accessible walks will be provided to encourage visitors to explore a sensory garden and greenhouses where new activities adapted to the residents can be developed. This approach is intended to be eco-responsible and will use sustainable materials while promoting permaculture.
►See you on 5 November at Victoria Hall, at 7:30 pm!
A raffle will also be held during the evening, with exceptional prizes to be won. A great opportunity to support the Foundation while enjoying a memorable evening!
