Born in Taiwan, clarinetist Cindy Lin has studied music on four continents. In 2007, she graduated with honours from the prestigious Conservatoire de Paris and obtained her soloist diploma from the Lausanne Conservatoire the following year.
Winner of numerous prizes and awards, Cindy Lin has performed with ensembles such as the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio of Turin and the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico of Spoleto. Her performance of Weber's Concerto No. 1 in Beijing with the SBS Radio-Television Orchestra was also the subject of a documentary film. The artist recently represented Vandoren at the ClariFest in Kansas City (USA) and performed an excerpt from the Copland Concerto with the Geneva Chamber Orchestra.
Cindy Lin's interest for the contemporary repertoire led her to become a founding member of Trio Clab, with whom she toured Europe and won prizes in Italy and Switzerland. Since 2007, the clarinettist has been specialising in historical instruments under the guidance of Eric Hoeprich at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris
