Bastien Blanchard

Born in Geneva in 1994, Bastien Blanchard first trained at the Conservatoire populaire de musique, danse et théâtre de Genève, where he obtained his certificate in 2014 with the congratulations of the jury. He then continued his training as an actor at the Serge Martin Theatre School, which he completed in 2017.

As an actor, Bastien plays in Variations Énigmatiques by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, and in the show Un discours! Un discours ! Un discours! created by the Cie 100% Acrylique. In 2020, he played in Pièce en plastique by Marius von Mayenburg at the Théâtre Alchimic and acted and sang in the show Chez Michou at the Théâtre des Amis. At the same time, Bastien founded the Compagnie Sous Traitement in 2015, with which he creates shows that he directs and acts in. Recently, he directed and acted in Ibsen's The Lady of the Sea at the Espace Vélodrome in Plan-les-Ouates as well as two shows by Dennis Kelly at the Théâtre de la Parfumerie.

On screen, he appeared in Frédéric Baillif's feature film, La Prouve scientifique de l'existence de Dieu, and more recently in the web series Bip, directed by Vincent Bossel, co-produced by RTS (2018).

In addition to his acting career, Bastien is training to play the piano and the guitar. In 2014, he was awarded the Prix Musique Cantonal at the maturité. Amongst his future plans, Bastien will play a show written and directed by Valentine Sergo at the Théâtre Pitoëff.
