A great sense of style and the ability to grasp the complexity of each score down to the smallest detail are the hallmarks of Argentine conductor Alejo Pérez, ensuring him an important place on the international opera and concert stages. From 2009 to 2012, he was musical director of the Teatro Argentino de La Plata and, since the start of the 2019/20 season, of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, with new productions such as Pelléas et Mélisande directed by Damien Jalet and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. At the Grand Théâtre de Genève, he leads the Orchestre de Suisse Romande in 2022 for War and Peace, then for Mzensk's Lady Macbeth the following season, directed by Calixto Bieto, whom he returns to this season for Khovanchtchina. In 2023-2024, he also collaborated with the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra.
