Broadcast Partner

All patrons, sponsors and partners

Supporting music is the noble mission entrusted to the SSR by the Swiss Confederation. For many years, we have been rising to this challenge with passion and energy, working closely with the Swiss music scene.

The link between the OSR and RTS is deeply rooted in the cultural history of French-speaking Switzerland. We are proud of this long-standing partnership. The launch of the 2026/27 season gives us the opportunity to reaffirm with conviction our commitment to maintaining this historic alliance. And this, despite the headwinds currently buffeting public service broadcasting.

This partnership is evident in many ways. Firstly, through robust editorial coverage provided by renowned music critics across all our audio channels, and in particular on RTS Espace 2. Secondly, through the regular presence of our music production team on the ground, who record around ten OSR concerts per season. These exceptional moments of shared experience are then broadcast on RTS Espace 2, which, every evening of the week, seven days a week, offers its listeners the best of the music performed in Switzerland and around the world, thanks to exchanges with other public media organizations within the European Broadcasting Union. In addition, concerts are broadcast on our audiovisual channels, on television, and via our digital platforms.

Like the OSR, RTS is constantly exploring ways to reach younger generations, who are more familiar with digital formats than with traditional broadcasting. This is why we aim to expand our digital offering of classical music, prioritizing our various platforms. Thanks to the relocation of the culture editorial team to a new multimedia building on the EPFL campus in Ecublens, and thanks to its extensive catalogue of recorded and digitized concerts, RTS is better prepared than ever to innovate and create new ways to attract the audiences of tomorrow.
