Founded in 1942 by violinist Victor Desarzens, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra has become one of Europe's most sought-after chamber ensembles.
The dynamism, stature, and extensive musical experience of renowned French violinist and conductor Renaud Capuçon, its artistic director since 2021, have enabled the orchestra to further establish its international reputation and attract some of the biggest names in music.
Comprising some 40 musicians, the OCL performs at the Théâtre de Beaulieu and the Salle Métropole, with a repertoire ranging from early Baroque to contemporary works.
