Tonight, the magic of music; tomorrow, the escape offered by a theatre performance. At the same time, a solution has been found to enable the continuation of a medical research program, provide support for the elderly, help protect the environment or contribute to the organization of an exhibition.
There are countless examples of projects that have come to fruition thanks to the support of the Loterie Romande. Having an excellent idea, being convinced of its feasibility and having a motivated team is not always enough to get a project off the ground: to see it through to a successful conclusion, it is essential to be able to rely on financial backing.
Since its inception, Loterie Romande has pursued its mission: to distribute all its profits to projects serving the public good, particularly in the fields of social welfare, culture, sport, the environment, education, health, research, tourism and heritage.
Every year, nearly 5,000 public-benefit projects are supported across the six French-speaking cantons.
