Association pour le Bien des Aveugles et malvoyants

Founded in 1901, the ABA has been working for 125 years to promote the independence and inclusion of blind and partially sighted people. Based in Geneva, the association supports people with visual impairments and their families, carries out awareness-raising activities aimed at the general public, and is actively involved in Geneva’s medical, social and political networks to defend their interests.

Convinced that culture is a right for everyone, the OSR and the ABA have formed a partnership based on a shared conviction: to break down the barriers that still often separate people with visual impairments from cultural life. Together, they are working in particular to facilitate access to concerts for those affected.

In 2026, the year of the ABA’s 125th anniversary, this partnership took on special significance with an exceptional charity film-concert: Charlie Chaplin’s City Lights, performed by the OSR and available with audio description.
