Association of Friends of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande

Passing on a passion for music and supporting the influence of the Swiss Romande Orchestra: this is the mission of the Association of Friends of the OSR, which is preparing to celebrate 90 years of active support for this iconic Swiss cultural institution.

The Friends of the OSR's commitment is reflected in numerous initiatives designed to strengthen the bond between music lovers and their symphony orchestra, with a particular focus on raising awareness and building loyalty among younger generations. Thanks to an instrument fund created in 2021, the Friends of the OSR are helping to improve the quality of the orchestra by giving it access to string instruments of the highest quality.

Joining the Friends of the OSR brings many benefits: access to dress rehearsals for subscription concerts, advance booking for subscriptions or concert tickets, conferences, visits to iconic musical venues, invitations to various events and musical trips, meetings with musicians, and many other privileges that often make all the difference to music lovers.

But beyond these benefits, our association offers you the immense satisfaction of actively supporting this remarkable orchestra, experiencing intense moments of musical emotion, and defending the values of excellence and sharing that the OSR has upheld since its creation by Ernest Ansermet.

At the end of 2024, the Friends of the OSR in Geneva and Vaud decided to join forces to merge and create a single entity with 3,100 members. This unique collective force in French-speaking Switzerland is dedicated to our love of music and its continuity through time and generations.
