
The young soprano Ruzan Mantashyan is one of the most promising singers of her generation and is highly regarded for her vocal, musical and stage qualities.
After studying piano and singing with Valery Harutyunov, she went on to perfect her skills at the Accademia di Belcanto - Mirella Freni in Modena, then with Hedwig Fassbender in Frankfurt. She then became a member of the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra national de Paris until 2016. Awarded the Special Prize at the Francisco Viñas Competition in Barcelona, she won the Toti Dal Monte competition with her Musetta (La Bohème), a role she performed in Treviso, Bolzano and Ferrara.
She also shone as Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) in Munich and Xenia (Boris Godunov) at the Paris Opera. In Geneva, she was particularly noticeable in Mimì (La Bohème), Marguerite (Faust) and Natacha (War and Peace).
