After receiving first prizes in oboe and chamber music from the Conservatoire national de Paris in the classes of J.L. Capezzali, Jacques Tys and David Walter, Nora Cismondi studied with Maurice Bourgue.
Winner of international competitions such as the Prague Spring in 2001, the Toulon Competition in 2002, the ARD in Munich in 2003 and the Sonymusic Foundation Tokyo Competition in 2006, she has performed as a soloist in many European venues.
Recognized by her peers, she was named Révélation Classique de l'Adami in 2005 at the MIDEM in Cannes.
After 7 seasons with the orchestra of the Opéra national de Paris, Nora Cismondi joined the Orchestre national de France in 2006 as principal oboe.
At the same time, she is a regular guest of prestigious orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the National Academy of Saint Cecilia in Rome, as well as internationally renowned ensembles such as the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.
Holder of the C.A. since 2006, she shares her experience during numerous masterclasses throughout Europe and Asia and will be entrusted with the oboe class of the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris in September 2012.
At the beginning of the 2018 academic year, she will be part of the teaching team of the Conservatoire national de Paris as assistant and will be promoted to oboe soloist of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
