Meglena Tzaneva

Trained in Bulgaria and Switzerland, Meglena Tzaneva was awarded a diploma in piano virtuosity with distinction in 2001. She went on to specialise in chamber music at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, where she was awarded an advanced diploma in 2003, and subsequently at the Walter Stauffer Academy in Cremona.

A winner of several international chamber music competitions, she has performed in recitals and with various chamber music ensembles across Europe and Asia. She has also taken part in various orchestral productions, notably with the OSR and the OCG, and gained solid experience in the field of contemporary music as a member of the Ensemble Contrechamps.

Her career also includes work as an accompanist at the HEM in Geneva, as well as at several international competitions in Germany and Switzerland.

Today, she devotes most of her time to teaching piano at the Conservatoire Populaire de Genève, as well as to devising and directing interdisciplinary artistic projects.

As president and co-founder of the Association Dialogues entre les Arts since 2012, she develops projects that foster dialogue between music and the visual arts, promoting encounters between artistic disciplines.
