Marco Nirta was born in Italy in 1987. He began studying the violin at the age of 3 with Lee Roberts at the "Suzuki Talent Center" music school in Turin and continued his studies at the "Giuseppe Verdi" conservatory in the same city where he obtained his license unanimously and with congratulations from the jury.
Successively, he perfected his skills in Fiesole (Florence) with Antonello Farulli, taking part in masterclasses with Danilo Rossi (Théâtre alla Scala in Milan), Alfonso Ghedin, Milan Skampa (Smetana Quartet), Danusha Wasckievitz (Berliner Philarmoniker), Amihai Grosz (Berliner Philarmoniker ), Yorg Winkler. He was principal viola of the Italian Youth Orchestra from 2008 to 2009.
He then perfected his skills at the Paris Conservatory and worked with orchestras such as the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Paris, the Orchestre National de France and the orchestra "Les Dissonances".
In 2013, he joined the "Avos Piano Quartet" with which he performed regularly in France, Italy and Japan (with a Master class given to students at the Tottori University of Music) and recorded a CD with the Brahms quartets (op. 25) and Schuman (op. 47). Also in 2013, he performed in chamber music at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and in Washington (USA).
From 2014 to 2019, he was solo viola at the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie and joined the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in June 2019.
