George Daugherty

George Daugherty is one of the most versatile figures in the world of classical music. He has conducted over 200 major international orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Symphony, Boston Pops, Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, San Francisco Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Sydney Symphony. He also works for major international ballet and opera companies.

He is an Emmy Award winner and has been nominated for five Emmy Awards for his involvement in television.

In 1990, he created, directed and conducted the symphonic concert "Bugs Bunny on Broadway", an animated film production with an orchestra. It sold out at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway during its extended run in New York. Renamed "BUBS BUNNY AT THE SYMPHONY", the production has since received critical acclaim and has sold-out worldwide.

The 2022-23 season marks George Daugherty's debut with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in presenting this celebrated film concert's 30th and latest edition. It was cancelled in 2020 and postponed until 2023 coinciding with the celebration of Bugs Bunny’s 80th birthday.
