
Born in Japan, Ezko Kikoutchi studied organ at St. Catherine Women's Junior College (Japan). There she earned her music teaching diploma. She was also selected for the Musashino Young Organists' Concert in Tokyo. Ezko Kikoutchi moved to Switzerland in 1997 to study organ at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, in the class of Keï Koito. There she earned her virtuosity diploma and first prize with honors.
She is currently co-titular organist of the parish of Vaulion-Romainmôtier. In 2012, Ezko Kikoutchi earned a Master of Arts (HEAB) in Composition and Theory from the Bern University of the Arts, in the class of Xavier Dayer.
She has received commissions to compose works and has collaborated with the Lucerne Festival Alumni, the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland, the Ensemble Contrechamps de Genève, the Rümlingen Festival, and others. She was selected to create a new piece at the 2016 Lucerne Festival with the Lucerne Festival Alumni Ensemble. In 2020, she designed the new soundtrack for Espace 2, the classical radio station of RTS (Swiss Radio and Television), which will run until 2025.
In 2024, she created a new piece for the 60th anniversary of the Concerts de Romainmôtier.
