Recent news highlights include engagements with the Aurora Orchestra, the Cologne Gürzenich Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. In 2019 Duncan Ward conducted a highly acclaimed production of Brett Dean's Hamlet at the Cologne Opera. He also continues to develop collaborations with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra.
From 2012 to 2014 he conducts the students of the Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, where he was appointed on the recommendation of Sir Simon Rattle. And from 2015 to 2017 he is Principal Conductor of Sinfonia Viva, one of the most dynamic ensembles in the UK. He has also served as Associate Conductor of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
After a sold-out debut last season with the OSR, we are delighted to welcome him back on December 9, 2020 with a programme featuring works by Mozart and Strauss.
