Pinchas Steinberg is unanimously remembered for his skill and musical and technical standards which were eminently beneficial to the orchestra, and they gave a number of particularly brilliant performances during the 2002 to 2005 seasons. Under his direction the OSR also gave many performances all over Europe (Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid). It was Pinchas Steinberg who, in 2003, took the orchestra for the first time to perform at the Chorégies d’Orange.
