Pierre Briand

Pierre Briand, born in 1968, studied in Toulouse in the class of Gilles Rambach. On the wise advice of Pierre Del Vescovo, principal horn of the Toulouse National Orchestra, he made his first apprenticeship as an orchestral musician.

He then perfected his skills in Paris with Jean-Jacques Justafré and Philippe Bréas, who guided him towards a career as a serious horn player. From 1992, he successively held this position at the Opéra de Marseille, the Orchestre National de Montpellier and since 2001 at the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
