Born on June 13, 1994 into a family of musicians, Nina Vasylieva began studying the piano at the age of 6 by entering the Lyssenko School of Music in Kiev, Ukraine. One day she heard by chance a violin-piano duet and immediately understood that the violin was her favourite instrument.
Thanks to her first teacher Tatyana Snezhnaya, she had the chance to enter in 2012 at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in the class of violinist and teacher Gyula Stuller. She finished her Bachelor's and Master's degrees with great success. Nina Vasilyeva completes her training with two orchestral courses which are very important for her future career: one at the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra and the other at the Basel Symphony Orchestra. She also takes part in the Verbier and Gstaad festivals, and attends masterclasses with S. Schwartz and P. Fontanarosa.
Nina Vasylieva joins the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in 2018.
