
Originally from the Geneva region, Laurent Fabre studied at the Geneva Conservatory of Music in the class of Gérard Métrailler. He was awarded a first prize for virtuosity with the jury's distinctions and the special prize of the Friends of the Conservatory.
After his studies, he continued to perfect his skills with Frédéric Mellardi, solo trumpet of the Orchestre de Paris.
In 2010, after a year with the Bern Symphony Orchestra, he joined the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
Since 2002, he has been teaching at the Geneva Conservatory of Music as a trumpet teacher. Attracted to conducting, he has conducted harmonies, brass bands and jazz orchestras.
