She began her studies in her hometown of Wiesbaden, Germany. At the Academy of Music in Freiburg im Breisgau she obtains the diplomas of instrumental teacher and orchestral musician in the class of Prof. K.-O. Hartmann. She held, among others, the position of contrabassoon soloist with the Altenburg-Gera Philharmonic Orchestra before joining the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in 2000. At the same time, she teaches bassoon at the Haute École de Musique de Genève and also double bassoon between 2003 and 2018.
