Johan Kulcsár

Born into a family of music connoisseurs, Johan began learning music at an early age. He studied music at the Conservatoire d'Aix en Provence in Renaud Taupinard's class, and during a youth orchestra course in 2012, he decided to take the plunge and become a professional musician.

Once he had obtained his diploma in Aix-en-Provence, he joined the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rueil-Malmaison in Jean Michel Vinit's class in 2016, then Vladimir Dubois' class at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris in 2018. That same year, he passed the entrance exam for the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris and won a place in Professor André Cazalet's class.

At the same time, Johan is also interested in the natural horn, and will obtain a diploma in natural horn from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris in 2020. During his undergraduate years, he took part twice (in 2020 and 2021) in the Orchestre Français des Jeunes to perfect his orchestral playing. In 2022, he obtained his Diplôme National Supérieur en Pratique de la Musique with honours from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.

During his studies, Johan was invited to play with a number of professional orchestras, including the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre du Capitol de Toulouse, the Orchestre National d'Ile de France, the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, the Orchestre National de Bretagne, the Orchestre National Avignon Provence.
