Yesong Jeong was born in 1993 in Jeonju, South Korea. She began playing the violin at the age of 7.

After playing the Mendelssohn Concerto with the Jeonju Municipal Orchestra, when she was 15, she decided to dedicate herself entirely to music.

Yesong Jeong first studied at the Korea National University of Arts. She then competed her master's degree at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris (CNSMdP) with Olivier Charlier. In 2019, she moved to Switzerland where she studied in the Specialized orchestra master's program at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) with Rudolf Koelman.

During her studies she also played as an intern in the Sinfonieorchester Basel as well as in the Sinfonie Orchester Biel Solothurn and participated in several international festivals such as the Texas Music Festival, Pacific Music Festival and Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, where she played as concertmaster.

Since 2022, Yesong Jeong is playing as second violin at the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
