After obtaining the Diploma of Musical Studies from the Conservatoire de Poitiers, Clément Charpentier-Leroy entered the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison where he received the First Prize for horn and then the Pôle Supérieur de Paris-Boulogne-Billancourt where he obtained a Diploma of Orchestral Training. He continued his musical career at the Conservatoire National de Paris from which he graduated in 2014. Parallel to his instrumental studies, he is keenly interested in the history of music and is a graduate of the Sorbonne University in musicology. 

During his graduate studies, Clément Charpentier-Leroy travelled throughout Europe with youth orchestras under the baton of prestigious conductors. He has been invited by the European Union Youth Orchestra, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Orchestra, of which he is now a member of the jury during the recruitment process. He is regularly invited by many renowned orchestras such as the Orchestre de l'Opéra national de Paris, the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse, the Orchestre national de Lyon, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, the Orchestre de Chambre du Festival de Verbier...

Winner of the Chieri International Competition, he has been a member of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande since 2014. Parallel to his work as an orchestral musician, his keen interest in teaching led him to join the Haute École de Musique de Genève, from which he graduated with a Master's degree in Music Pedagogy in 2018. Also interested in chamber music, he is a founding member of the horn quartet HORNormes.
