The Chamber Choir of the EMH is one of the school's permanent formations. It offers selected students from the vocal department of the EMH the opportunity to perform a demanding choral repertoire, which requires a proven technique and vocal quality.
Historically, the choral tradition has always been essential at the EMH. For many years, the choir was directed by Corboz and acquired its credentials by interpreting the great works of the choral repertoire that were dear to its conductor.
After Corboz's departure, two formations were created: l'Atelier choral (a group of students from all disciplines at the HEM), directed by Carrot, then Farine, and the Chœur de Chambre (for students from the HEM's vocal department), directed by Gervais, then by the Brazilian conductor Antunes.
