Endowed with a charming and supple timbre that allows her to vocalize with ease, soprano Chen Reiss has been acclaimed on all stages since the 2000s, enchanting audiences with "a voice with a silvery brilliance and clear timbre" (Bachtrack).
Born in Israel, she has been revealed as a member of the Bayerische Staatsoper under the musical direction of Zubin Mehta and performs regularly as artist-in-residence at the Vienna State Opera. She has performed leading roles at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, La Scala in Milan, the Semperoper in Dresden, the Netherlands National Opera, the Royal Theatre in Madrid, the Opera Company in Philadelphia and the Tel Aviv Opera.
She is a regular guest of eminent ensembles such as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de France, the Pittsburgh, Chicago and Dallas Symphony Orchestras, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC orchestras as well as the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and at numerous festivals.
She has recorded extensive repertoire with the prestigious pianist Charles Spencer, the Orchestre de Paris, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
