
Chelsea Marilyn Zurflühis the prizewinner of the renowned 78th Concours de Genève. Along with the first prize she won nine special prices which include a role in the Grand Théâtre de Genève and several other concert possibilites.
Chelsea Marilyn Zurflüh, Swiss Soprano with roots on the Seychelles, has already impressive international experience. She sang the role Gerhilde from Wagners The Valkyrie in the Státní opera of Prague, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, in the Kulturpalast Dresden and in the Kölner Philharmonie under the baton of star conductor Kent Nagano. She also sang various concerts at places such as the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Zurich Tonhalle.
She has worked together with conductors such as Alvetina Ioffe, Chiara Cattani, Riccardo Minasi, Victorien Vanoosten, Vladimir Kiradjiev, Christoph König, Joseph Bastien, Mladen Tarbuk, Franco Trinca und Christoph-Mathias Mueller.
She is prizewinner of numerous other singing competitions, including the second prize of the Otto Edelmann Competition in September 2024, the first prize at the International Haydn-Competition in Rohrau, Austria in May 2024, the second prize at the International Mozart-Competition in Salzburg in February 2023 and at the International Cesti-Competition in Innsbruck in August 2022.
In June 2021 Chelsea completed her Master of Arts Specialized Music Performance Oper at the Hochschule der Künste Bern Schweizer Opernstudio with Professor Barbara Locher.
