Alexis Crouzil was born in 1990. He started playing music in 1998 in a small music school in Varilhes, Ariège, and started playing the horn at the age of 12.
He then joined the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Toulouse in 2004 where he obtained his prize in 2008.
Alexis then decided to take the professional path and entered the specialized cycle of the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris, in the class of Vladimir Dubois (super-soloist horn of the Paris Opera).
Two years later, he received his prize with congratulations and the diploma of Training at the Orchestra of the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris.
In 2011, he joins the class of André Cazalet (principal horn of the Orchestre de Paris) at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris.
Alexis perfected his skills with the French Youth Orchestra and then collaborated with major orchestras such as the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse, the Paris Chamber Orchestra, the Paris National Opera, the Orchestre national de Lorraine, the Montpellier National Orchestra, Secession Orchestra, Sinfonia Pop Orchestra...
In 2012, he was appointed principal horn of the Orchestre national de Lyon and in 2015 he joined the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande as substitute principal horn.
Eager to teach and transmit his passion for the horn, Alexis is part of the teaching team of the Eurocuivres academy in France and Asia.
