Parc des Bastions

Next to the Place de Neuve, the Parc des Bastions brings together some of the city's most beautiful monuments along its tree-lined promenade.

At the foot of the Old Town, the Parc des Bastions is a large green space in the city centre. This park was the site of the first botanical garden in Geneva. You can contemplate the famous Reformers' Wall, which represents the personalities of the Reformation, the Palais Eynard, which houses the city's executive authorities, or the University and the Library of Geneva. The bandstand houses a restaurant, next to which free giant chess boards delight passers-by.
