Die Glocke

The Glocke is the traditional centre of musical life in Bremen.

Herbert von Karajan once ranked the building, which opened in 1928, on the Domsheide as one of the three best concert halls in Europe. Audiences and artists alike are impressed by the Art Deco ambience and the outstanding acoustics of the concert hall, which was completely renovated in 1997 and is located a few steps from Bremen's town hall (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) in the heart of the city.

The Glocke not only offers classical music, but also musicals and songs, readings, cabaret, comedy, jazz and world music.
