Nuno Osório was born in 1997 in Vila Nova de Famalicão. He started his musical studies in organ and mandolin with teachers Duarte Faria and Sérgio Barbosa. At the age of 12, he joined ARTAVE in the double bass class of Professor Rui Fontes. He continued his studies from 2015 at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim, Germany, in the class of Professor Petru Iuga, with whom he currently studies at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne.

Nuno has participated in masterclasses with professors Massimo Giorgi, Petya Bagovska, Michael Wolf, Wolfgang Guttler, Manuel Rego, Mathew Mcdonald, Petru Iuga, Martin Grabner, Edicson Riuiz, Odon Rácz, Thierry Barbé, Teppo Hauta-Aho, Philipp Stubenrauch, Hector Sapiña, Luís Cabrera, Janne Saksala, Gunars Upatnieks, among others.

He has worked with many renowned orchestras such as the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorcheter, the European Union Youth Orchestra, the Mahler Academy, the Georgisches kammerorchester, the Orchestra XXI, the Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa, the Armenisches Deutsche Orchester, the Kurpfalzisches Kammerorchester.

He has received numerous awards such as the honourable mention at the Prémio Jovens Músicos Competition - Superior Level in 2013 and 2nd prize at the Vasco Barbosa String Competition in 2015. In 2016 he won the "Galicia Graves" Competition in the city of A Coruña, Spain, in 2017 the 2nd prize in the Prémio Jovens Músicos Competition, in March 2021 the 3rd prize in the Recital Music 2021 Composition Competition - this time as a composer - and finally in May 2021 the 2nd prize in the Latin Orchestra of Europe International Online Competition.

As a soloist he performed in 2018 with the Kurpfalzisches kammerorchester and in 2021 with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne.

He is currently a musician with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and is studying for a second master's degree in orchestration at the Haute École de musique de Lausanne
