Claire Dassesse was born in 1989 in Brussels, Belgium, from a family of musicians. She started playing the violin at a very young age.

In 2004, she entered the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel as an "exceptional young talent" under the guidance of Augustin Dumay and Tatiana Samouil.

In 2006 she entered the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Igor Oistrakh and obtained her degree.

From 2009 to 2011, she studied at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève until she obtained her Master's degree and then, at the invitation of her teacher Mihaela Martin, she entered the Hochschule de Köln where she completed a double Master's degree with great distinction.

Between 2013 and 2015, she is one of the few students of the institution admitted to the Konzertexam at the Hochschule in Cologne and obtains the diploma with great distinction.

She has attended masterclasses of the most famous violinists of our time: Liviu Prunaru, Boris Kuschnir, Hermann, Petru Munenau, Marco Rizzi, Priya Mitchell, Stephan Picard, Mikhail Ovrustky, Gabor Tàkàcs, Zakhar Bron...

During these years of study, Claire Dassesse has enriched her prize list with numerous awards and distinctions, winning competitions such as Jeunes Musiciens RTBF and Lion's Club. She is also the winner of the Young Talent, Jonge Solisten d'Ostende, Brueguel, Didier Noé, Deru, Nancy Philippart... competitions.

In October 2011, she won the prestigious Henri Vieuxtemps contest.

She has been the guest of many festivals since her teenage years, including the Festival of the Abbaye d'Aulne, the Estivales de Megève, the Schubertiades, the Covent Garden concerts during which she has collaborated with musicians such as François Guye, Tedi Papavrami, Christoph Schiller...

She has played many times as a soloist, notably with the Zilina Orchestra in Slovakia, the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie...

Claire is also a seasoned orchestral musician, having played with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, was Principal Concertmaster of the Geneva Sinfonietta in 2010 and is a tenured member of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.

Since September 2013, Claire Dassesse has been part of the Ensembl' Arenski trio, with Aurore Dassesse and Stephanie Proot, and studied at the Queen Elizabeth Music Chapel under the direction of the prestigious Artemis Quartet between 2013 and 2015. In 2017 they record their first CD with the Etcetera label.

Many of these performances have been broadcast by national Belgian, French and Swiss television and radio stations.
