Anaëlle Broly

Originally from Alsace, Anaëlle was immersed in music from an early age. Although there were no professional musicians in her family, she began playing the French horn at the age of 7 at the Strasbourg Conservatoire with Kevin Cleary, with whom she would study for 10 years.

After obtaining her scientific baccalaureate, Anaëlle continued her studies at the University of Grenoble Alpes, pursuing a dual degree in Physics and Musicology. At the same time, she enrolled at the Grenoble Conservatoire in the class of Till Verron and later Cecile Bugner, where she obtained her DEM and entered the preparatory course for higher music schools. It was ultimately there that she decided to devote herself entirely to playing the horn and began preparing for entrance examinations.

In 2023, she enrolled on the Bachelor of Arts programme at the Geneva University of Music in Bertrand Chatenet’s class, which was subsequently taken over by Ivo Gass and Jean-Pierre Berry. During her three-year Bachelor’s degree, Anaëlle took part in numerous youth orchestras and academies, such as the Orchestre Français des Jeunes, the annual training programme with the Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and the Schweizer Jugend Sinfonie Orchester, which led her to perform under the baton of leading conductors in prestigious venues across Europe. She also performs regularly with the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, the Mulhouse National Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
