Made in Switzerland! The Concerto for Seven Wind Instruments is one of the masterpieces of the Geneva composer Frank Martin, who renews the spirit of the concerto grosso while speaking in his own original language. Born in 1968 in Lausanne, Richard Dubugnon is a universally performed and appreciated composer. Via Lemanica, which makes up the second part of his Helvetia, for large orchestra, was commissioned by the OSR and is presented here in its world premiere. Although it was the Bavarian Alps that Richard Strauss had in mind with his Alpensinfonie, he was very familiar with our country, having spent the last years of his life here after the disaster of the Second World War.
